Process Troubleshooting
With a combined six decades’ experience in process troubleshooting, CCS can help you pinpoint potential opportunity areas, such as:

• Heat and Material Balance
  CCS uses proven methods to reconcile flow meters, process analyzers, temperature measurements, and conversion chemistries. Successful heat and material balance closure requires a balanced use of process simulation, off-line analysis, statistics, and experienced judgment.

• Feed and Product Analysis
  Finding trace components in feeds and products is a critical tool in performance testing of catalysts. We are experts in conducting these analyses.

• System Capacity
  In most cases, CCS can examine the current operation of a reactor system and extrapolate to the capacity of a proposed operation, using differential engineering techniques such as kinetics and unit operations modeling.

Catalyst Performance Testing
When conventional analytical chemistry does not reveal the source of the problem, CCS uses actual customer feed samples to screen catalyst samples.

• Real Feeds
  Your real feedstock can be used to screen catalysts and demonstrate proposed solutions. Real feeds can also be spiked with contaminates to demonstrate real-life upsets.

• Multi-catalyst Testing
  Up to four catalysts can be tested simultaneously on a single feed. This may include the incumbent, a replacement-in-kind, and improved alternates.

Technical Assistance
CCS offers various types of support for technical training:

• Technical Manuals
  CCS provides technical fliers and bulletins for all of the impurity elimination
  applications we support. Your operating manuals can become out-of-date
  or even obsolete. CCS can review and update operating manuals based on
  industry best practices.

• Operator Training
  Operator refresher training is recommended whenever process changes are
  made. CCS offers you a staff of engineers and scientists with decades of teaching experience in industrial and academic settings.

• Start-up Assistance
  CCS provides start-up assistance for all supported applications, plus assistance for several applications under confidential agreements with select customers.

Technical Proposals
Detailed technical proposals are prepared for all supported applications and for
custom-developed processes. Our technical proposals include:
